Arian 911 owes his dj name to the American emergency call number 911, as it had become a recurring theme to be called if a party or event-line needed fresh input – he was the man to be called in an emergency. One prominent example for this quality took place in 2009 when he was contacted by Space / Ibiza to help with the programming of the club’s new night Kehakuma.
Arian 911 got inspired in the late 80s to investigate in the fields of music production and his first idea, a fusion of Native American chant and electronic beats became the first release of Sven Väth´s legendary Eye Q label in 1990 (Sunchild feat. Joanne Shenandoah “Nature Dance”).
Due to the big success of his first record he decided to build himself a base with a studio on Ibiza in 1993. In 1995 he founded Ibiza´s first record label Open Mind Music (later on O.M.M. Sounds). He was one of the first to book Sven Väth for some unforgettable events on the Iseland, which helped to pave the ground for the impressive success of Cocoon nights at Amnesia.
Since the beginning of his dj career Arian has held residencies at some of the island´s most prestigious locations like KM5, Blue Marlin, Manumission Motel, Kehakuma at Space, La Troya and Cocoon at Amnesia and many more.
In the meantime his dance productions Arian 911 with Nude Club (Sharam Jey) “Survive”, Stereo Pie “Blueberry Pancake” and Nosotros feat. Raul Paz “Contigo” became club hits in various countries. His downtempo productions Levitation “More Than Ever People” (Café Del Mar Vol.5) and Over Soul feat. Gram´ma Funk “Universal Unfolding” became genre defining classics.
And just recently, one of his projects "Nuwella Love" won the price for Best Newcomer in the category Dance/Electro of the VW Sound Foundation 2012.
His latest venture is the finca am – Electronica Balear project, involving an audio visual compilation series, monthly digital releases, regular parties at Ibiza´s hot spots and a weekly radio show.
Arian lives and travels between Ibiza and Germany. As a producer he is working together with artists like Mousse T, Dj Dmitry (Deee-Lite) and Sharam Jey. Due to his eclectic musical taste, his dj style could be described as a mixture of several blends of House music with a whole variety of influences.
